News and Media Coverage: Pilot Penn Practice Courts
| |
The six Classic Turf courts at Southern Connecticut State University in Hamden, Conn., served as a staging area for the men and women professional players participating in the 2005 Pilot Pen tennis tournament. Pilot Pen officials made the SCSU courts available for the pros to practice on for four days leading into the US Open Series event, which took place at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. Tournament officials determined that the Classic Turf surface, a cushioned, sheet-goods product, played similar enough to the hard courts at the Pilot Pen. |
