Dickinson Park, which is located in Newtown, CT originally had five asphalt tennis courts and one basketball court. The town of Newton was sick and tired of constantly repairing the cracked asphalt courts every year. The Park and Recreation director approached the Classic Turf Company looking for a solution that was going to last for many years to come. The only solution was the post tension concrete slab along with the Classic Turf Sports Surface. |
Woodbury Middle School, Woodbury, CT

The Woodbury Middle School located in Woodbury, CT had two old asphalt courts that were there for almost 30 years. The asphalt courts were not repairable and the layout was not correct for two courts side by side. The Classic Turf Company milled the existing asphalt and built two new post tension concrete courts with the Classic Turf System installed on top. |
Town of Bridgewater: Bridgewater, CT

The Town of Bridgewater, located in northeast Connecticut had 3 asphalt tennis courts that were about 20 years old. The courts were cracked and the town was having them repaired every year. No matter what anyone did the cracks would reappear every spring. The town decided on the post tension concrete system along with the Classic Turf Sports Surface. The post tension concrete slab was installed directly on top of the existing cracked asphalt and then covered with the Classic Turf Sports Surface. |
