The Las Vegas Convention Center recently buzzed with energy as it hosted the World of Concrete (WOC) International Tradeshow from January 18th through the 21st. As the industry’s only annual international event dedicated to commercial concrete and masonry, WOC is the premier hub for connections, intelligence, and business growth.
For the team at Classic Turf, this was an investment in the future of our craft.
From massive indoor displays to action-packed outdoor exhibits, WOC offers a front-row seat to the latest equipment and technological applications. The team from Classic Turf spent time:
- Networking with leading manufacturers and suppliers.
- Evaluating new solutions to help our operations adapt to an ever-changing industry.
- Observing high-stakes competitions where masonry masters showcase the pinnacle of the trade.
Advancing Our Expertise: Level 2 PTI Certification
Representing Classic Turf at WOC this year were Operations Manager Ryan Ayers and Construction Superintendents Doug Gesner and Spencer Romano. While they explored new products to refine our internal processes, their primary focus was continuing their education in our specialty: Post-Tension (PT) Concrete.
The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) hosted a rigorous three-day workshop at the event, covering the intricate details of PT installation and inspection. We are proud to announce that Ryan, Doug, and Spencer all successfully completed the training and passed their exams, moving from Level 1 to Level 2 certifications.
What this means for our customers is that Ryan, Doug, and Spencer now hold Level 2 PTI Certifications. They are officially certified to both install AND inspect Post-Tension concrete slabs, joining our President, John Eren, in holding this elite industry credential.
Our Commitment to Excellence
At Classic Turf, continuing education isn’t just a policy—it’s our competitive advantage. By regularly attending major industry events like the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) Conference and the Post-Tensioning Institute Convention, we ensure our team stays at the cutting edge of court construction.
We don’t just build courts; we build the longest-lasting, lowest-maintenance courts in the industry. Through constant learning, we ensure that every project we touch benefits from the latest in structural integrity and technological innovation.
