At Classic Turf, building the longest-lasting, lowest-maintenance sports surfaces is only part of what we do. Local Educational Institutions:
Investing in the youth and our next generation is something Classic Turf takes great pride in. We proudly support various educational institutions across Connecticut to help their efforts enhance student experiences and celebrate impactful leaders.
St. Joseph High School – Classic Turf was honored to build the new tennis facility and be a sponsor for the St. Joseph Impact Award, an award given annually by the school to celebrate individuals who demonstrate unwavering dedication to Catholic education and empower their students.
Renbrook School – Classic Turf participated as a donor for the 2026 annual Renbrook school Auction which is an essential fundraiser to benefit academic programs, student resources, and the school’s facility for each upcoming year.
Rumsey Hall School – Classic Turf serves as a sponsor and volunteers each year at Rumsey Hall’s annual auction, supporting the school’s mission to foster effort, family values, and academic success in their students.
Wildlife Conservation and Public Spaces
Based in Woodbury, CT, Classic Turf values preserving the natural beauty, flora and fauna of New England. This aligns with our company’s values of respecting outdoor spaces.
- Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy – Ripley’s Waterfowl Conservation’s mission is to preserve rare and endangered waterfowl species through research-driven conservation breeding and rearing techniques. Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy is one of the only collections of rare and endangered waterfowl in North America, providing a home to more than 100 species, totaling more than 500 birds from around the world. Ripley’s Waterfowl Conservancy cares for ducks, geese, swans, pheasants, shore birds, raptors, and passerines, all of which are experiencing population declines in the wild Classic Turf attended and sponsored their annual benefit in 2026 directly supporting research driven conservation breeding and habitat protection.
- Pomperaug Valley Garden Club – Classic Turf is grateful to support the Pomperaug Valley Garden Club in 2026 and its goal to promote an interest in gardens, horticulture, floral and landscape design; to cooperate in the protection of wildflowers, trees and birds; and to encourage public plantings, beautification and conservation.
Community Traditions and Local Culture
Northwestern Connecticut’s culture and regional heritage is something Classic Turf is proud to be a part of. We are proud to support our community gatherings, events, and local artists.
- Bethlehem Fair Society – Classic Turf sponsored a local artist, Makenzie Steiner at the Bethlehem State Fair. Locals in the area are familiar with her work with the murals she has done at LaBonne’s and Bruno’s. Mackenzie created a custom mural for the state fairgrounds featuring the Classic Turf logo.
- Savor Litchfield (Litchfield Magazine) – For multiple years, Classic Turf has been a proud sponsor of Savor Litchfield which is the premier annual culinary celebration that showcases top local culinary talent, local farmers and growers, and other food artisans from all over Litchfield County to prepare signature bites for guests to enjoy at South Farms in Morris, CT.
Supporting First Responders and Advocation for Health
Honoring courage, resilience, and personal legacies, Classic Turf is pleased to support organizations making a difference on both regional and national levels.
- The Joe Garassino Foundation – Classic Turf joined the Joe Garassino this year for their annual golf tournament at the Watertown Golf Club. The Joe Garassino foundation was created in honor of Joe Garassino, who passed away in 2013 from cancer. The Joe Garassino Foundation was formed to pass on the legacy of hope and tenacity in the face of a rare disease as exemplified in the life of Joe Garassino.
- Tunnel to Towers Foundation – The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in December 2001 in memory of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who gave his life during the September 11 attacks after running through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center. This foundation provides mortgage-free homes to gold star families, fallen first responder families with young children, and catastrophically injured veterans. Classic Turf is grateful to be able to support their mission.

Classic Turf sponsored a local artist to paint a mural at the Bethlehem State Fair. This mural will include Classic Turf’s logo. (Makenzie Steiner is the artist and she paints murals all over Connecticut at local businesses).
